Outside Magazine, the preeminent Outdoor sports and adventure magazine publishes a yearly list of the best outside gear. This year is the first time they have included a stand up paddle board in their gear category.For the 2012 best summer gear guide, they chose the Pau Hana Crossfit.

A group of top Australian paddle boarders got together with SUP Victoria and RPS the boardstore for the ultimate 14′ paddle board test. 14 boards were raced by 14 different people over a 150 meter out and back course around a buoy. This is the most interesting test of flatwater race boards ever done and there is a wealth of data from the test runs.

New paddle board manufacturer Tower paddle boards out of San Diego is set to give their pitch tonight on the reality show Shark Tank. They seek backing from the billionaire investors on the show, but they are already getting good publicity off of their appearance.
The show will air on ABC at 8PM local time/7 central on Friday, Mar. 16th.
