Surftech is soon to be releasing a new 14′ model, the Jamie Mitchell model. This will make three Jamie Mitchel signature boards in the Surftech line up, the 9’8″, the 12’6″ and now the new 14′ model. They all look good.
Los Angeles local TV ABC channel 7 had a good segment on Stand Up Paddling giving a brief overview of the sport and showing one of their reporters, Lori Corbin trying it for the first time.

While most people walk the dog, renowned big wave rider and SUP racer, Chuck Patterson takes two great white sharks out for a paddle. I am not surprised that Chuck Patterson is not scared of the sharks, but I am suprised that the great white sharks are not scared of Chuck Patterson.

Surftech team riders, Jamie Mitchell, Candice Appleby and Slater Trout will be in New York City this week to participate in the 4th Annual Surfers Environmental Alliance SEA Paddle NYC around Manhattan. The 28-mile paddle/race around New York City is a fund-raising event to benefit autism awareness and research groups, such as Autism Family Services of New Jersey, Autism Speaks and Surfers Healing, a volunteer group that facilitates surfing adventures for autistic children.
